This Varsity, we are proud to focus on celebrating women in sport, empowering female athletes, and encouraging women of all backgrounds to get involved in sports. This campaign highlights the importance of representation, inclusivity, and support for women in all aspects of sport.
We recognise that women, particularly in sports, face unique challenges, from underrepresentation in leadership roles to stereotypes that hinder their progress. These barriers can make it difficult for many women to fully embrace their place within the sporting community. This year, we commit to breaking down those barriers, fostering an environment where women feel encouraged, valued, and supported.
Through our campaign, we aim to amplify the voices of women in sport, celebrate their achievements, and create a culture where every woman feels empowered to pursue her passion for sport, regardless of her background. Each of us has a role to play in creating a more inclusive and supportive space for women in sport, not just during this campaign but every day.
We challenge ourselves, our teams, and our communities to actively contribute to the empowerment of women in sport. We pledge to create spaces where all women are respected and uplifted, regardless of their gender, identity, or experience.
We want to physically manifest this commitment to women in sport by asking every member attending a varsity fixture on Sunday 23 March to wear pink and or purple.

Therefore, this pledge is a commitment to the women in our sports community that we will actively work towards fostering an environment of equality, respect, and encouragement.
I, along with my team, pledge that:
- We will champion gender equality in sport and continue to fight for opportunities for women to thrive both on and off the field.
- We will create a safe, inclusive space in our clubs where all women feel welcomed and respected, and we will speak out against gender-based discrimination if ever it arises.
- We will support and amplify the voices of women in leadership, taking proactive steps to encourage their representation and involvement in all areas of sports, from coaching to administration.
- We stand in solidarity with women athletes, regardless of their background or experience, and will ensure they are celebrated, heard, and empowered within our teams and communities.
By endorsing this pledge, my team and I commit to fostering an inclusive, empowering environment for all women in sport. While progress may take time, we pledge to continuously strive for change, to encourage women to take their place in sports, and to support them in reaching their full potential.

Period Poverty Campaign (2025)
No student should have to choose between buying period products and covering essential expenses. Yet, for many university students, period poverty is a harsh reality – impacting their well-being, confidence, and ability to focus on their studies.
We are raising funds to purchase high-quality, sustainable menstrual products from Grace & Green to ensure students have access to the essentials they need at Kent and Christ Church.
